Gaofen-6 is China's first high-res optical satellite for precision agriculture. Operating with Gaofen-1, it enhances monitoring of agriculture/forestry/grassland resources for rural development and ecological construction.
8-year design life, equipped with 2m pan/8m multispectral camera (90km swath) and 16m multispectral wide-swath camera (800km swath). It adopts domestic 8-band CMOS and China's first red-edge band for crop spectral detection.
