Gaofen-7 was launched on November 3, 2019 and officially operational in August 2020.
Equipped with dual-line array stereo camera and laser altimeter, it achieves sub-meter stereo mapping and high-precision altimetry. It is the world's first satellite for 1:10,000 scale mapping using dual-line array + laser altimetry, greatly improving elevation accuracy and data self-sufficiency in China.
